Happy 4th Birthday Ashlynn!

Yesterday would of been our little girl's 4th birthday. We went to celebrate at the cemetary! We had a great time. We have lots of traditions we have acquired. We clean her headstone and the grass around it, then wash it to make it sparkle!! We put flowers in her vase and tie a foil balloon around the base of the vase. Then we let go of latex balloons in air. Each balloon represents how old she is. This year we got a couple of windchimes to hang on a near by tree. Then we always eat ice cream sandwiches (we think they are Ashlynn's favorate). Last we take a walk around the cemetary and wonder what she is doing in heaven, while we are still stuck here on earth.

As weird as it seems...I always loved my families tradition of going to the cemetery to see my brothers grave. We would all help clean it...and then take a picture. As a kid it really helped me to know that the church is true. And that, I needed to get back to my brother someday. To do that I needed to choose the right. It never was a sad thing but always a happy thing. I am sure it will be the same for your family as your kids grow.

Too bad Kylee can't share how Ashlynn is doing. I am sure she has more then one story she could tell. :)
